Indian senior men’s national team coach Khalid Jamil has announced a 23-member squad for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers away match against Singapore, scheduled for October 9. The squad includes the return of veteran forward Sunil Chhetri, who was rested during the recent CAFA Nations Cup after his international comeback, and defender Sandesh Jhingan, who is recovering from an injury sustained during the same tournament. The team is set to depart for Singapore on Monday. In Group C standings, India currently occupies the bottom position with one point from two matches, while Singapore leads the group with four points.
