Following a bus fire at Chinna Tekuru in Kurnool district, police have taken two bus drivers, Miryala Lakshmaiah and Gudipati Siva Narayana, into custody. The Ulindakonda police initiated a case against them under Sections 125(a) and 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita (BNS), addressing carelessly endangering human life or personal safety and causing death by negligence, respectively.
The incident, which involved a collision between a bus and a motorcycle, resulted in the death of motorist Shivashankar, identified as a resident of Praja Nagar, Kurnool city. Shivashankar, who was employed at a granite factory, had reportedly left his home on Thursday evening, with his family members indicating he had communicated plans to return for dinner. The investigation is ongoing, with police also considering potential action against the management of the private bus company.
