In Manki village, Ludhiana district, a shooting incident late Monday night resulted in one fatality and one injury. Gurwinder Singh, 20, was shot in the chest and later succumbed to his injuries while en route to Chandigarh. His friend, Dharamveer, sustained a minor bullet injury, while a third individual, Lovepreet, was unharmed. Police reported that four masked assailants on motorcycles opened fire at the group at an isolated spot. An FIR for murder and attempt to murder has been registered at Samrala police station, naming Sandeep Singh, Teji, Karan, and Simran as suspects. Authorities indicated that individuals from both involved groups have previous criminal records.
