The 36th Malappuram district school arts festival commenced at Wandoor on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, and is scheduled to conclude on Saturday, November 22, 2025. On the second day of the five-day event, Wednesday, November 19, 2025, Mankada sub-district established a lead with 407 points. Malappuram sub-district ranked second with 373 points, followed by Vengara in third place with 359 points. The festival has recorded a total of 11,301 registrations across high school, higher secondary, and upper primary categories.
Supporting initiatives at the festival include free health checkups, first aid, and medical monitoring services provided by PMSA Memorial District Cooperative Hospital. Additionally, the District Sanitation Mission has implemented a comprehensive green monitoring system, emphasizing eco-friendly practices and scientific waste management. This initiative also involves educating students on waste responsibility and includes activities such as a green quiz and a spot photography competition focused on the 'Green Kalolsavam' theme.
