The ‘Revival panel’, supported by Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, secured all 15 board of director seats in the elections for the Shri Malaprabha Sahakari Sakkare Karkhane (N) in Belagavi district, Karnataka. Polling was conducted on September 28, with results announced the following day. Minister Hebbalkar stated that the panel’s primary objective is the revitalization of the factory, which currently faces a debt of ₹220 crore. She outlined plans to clear the debt, implement reforms, ensure farmer dues are settled within 15 days, and protect employee interests. MLC Channaraj Hattiholi, the Minister’s brother and a member of the winning panel, emphasized farmers’ welfare and highlighted his experience in factory management.
