Thirteen migrant laborers from a Morbi factory have returned to Tatanagar, Jharkhand, citing alleged non-payment of wages and mistreatment. Following their return, the Jharkhand Labour Department initiated communication, prompting the Assistant Labour Commissioner of Morbi to issue a notice to Agilis Vitrified Pvt ltd, the factory involved. A partner at Agilis Vitrified Pvt ltd confirmed the laborers commenced work on August 30 under a specific contractor. Morbi Assistant Labour Commissioner J.R. Jadeja stated the notice addresses an identified issue with a labor contractor, noting workers’ claims that their wages were referred to the contractor, who was reportedly absent. One laborer alleged physical assault by individuals connected to the contractor.
