A senior official, Mahadevappa, has issued directives for the expeditious commencement of road works in Mysuru to address increasing traffic volume in the rapidly expanding city. The instructions follow reports concerning the condition of specific road sections, including a stretch of Dr. Rajkumar Road.

In response, Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner Shaikh Tanveer Asif confirmed that the civic body is already undertaking road widening and improvement projects across several city thoroughfares. These include segments of Dr. Rajkumar Road, Abba Road (from Government Guest House to Kalikamba Temple), Bengaluru–Nilgiri Road (two stretches), Male Mahadeshwara Road (from Gopalagowda Hospital Circle to Buddha Circle), Chamundi Vihar Stadium Road (from Superintendent of Police Office Circle to Gopalagowda Hospital Circle), Pulakeshi Road (from Dr. Ambedkar Circle to Ashoka Road), and Hyder Ali Road (from Dr. Ambedkar Circle to Aziz Sait Double Road).

Mahadevappa further instructed officials to promptly obtain No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from relevant departments for land necessary for road widening, enabling immediate progression of these infrastructure initiatives.
