Following Diwali celebrations, most metropolitan cities in India experienced a decline in air quality. On Tuesday morning, Delhi recorded the highest Air Quality Index (AQI) among metro cities, reaching 447 and classified as 'severe' according to aqi.in readings. Out of eight major metropolitan areas, five registered an AQI above 150. In contrast, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai reported AQI values below 100 on the same morning.
