A python, estimated to be approximately 10 feet long, was observed near the Sukhna Lake rowing centre in Chandigarh on Thursday morning during an early practice session. Rowers first discovered the animal near bushes adjacent to the facility, prompting them to alert authorities.
The incident led to a swift response from both the Forest Department and the Chandigarh Police. Following the sighting, the department issued a public appeal, advising individuals to remain calm in such situations and to refrain from attempting to capture or disturb wild animals.
