Rajahmundry-Tirupati Direct Flight Service Commences

Direct flight services have commenced between Rajahmundry and Tirupati, operated by Alliance Air. The new air route was virtually inaugurated by Union Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu from New Delhi, while AP Tourism and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh flagged off the first flight from Rajahmundry’s Madhurapudi Airport. Flights are scheduled to operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The service will depart Tirupati at 7:40 AM, arriving in Rajahmundry at 9:25 AM. The return flight will depart Rajahmundry at 9:50 AM, arriving in Tirupati at 11:20 AM. This new connection is expected to reduce travel time between the two cities. Minister Naidu commented on the high demand for air travel from Rajahmundry, noting high occupancy rates for existing services to New Delhi and Mumbai, and reported that tickets for the inaugural Tirupati service were quickly sold. He also indicated that the ongoing construction of a second terminal at Rajahmundry Airport is nearing completion.
