Federal prosecutors have accused rapper Lontrell Williams Jr., known professionally as Pooh Shiesty, and eight other individuals of robbery and kidnapping in connection with an incident that occurred in Texas in January. The allegations reportedly stem from a contract dispute involving rap star Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records.
Prosecutors contend that Williams Jr. arranged a meeting at a recording studio, which property records indicate he owns, ostensibly to discuss contract terms. During this meeting, Williams Jr. and eight co-conspirators are alleged to have executed a "coordinated, armed takeover" involving three music industry professionals. An affidavit states that Williams Jr. reportedly demanded a record label owner sign contract termination paperwork and subsequently took the man’s wedding ring, watch, earrings, and cash. Rapper Rodney Wright, known as Big30, is further alleged to have blocked the studio door, preventing victims from leaving.
Authorities have arrested eight of the nine individuals accused. Williams Jr. has not provided an immediate comment regarding the accusations.
