The U.S. State Department is preparing to issue a limited series of commemorative passports to mark America's 250th anniversary in July. Approximately 25,000 to 30,000 of these specially designed documents will be available at the Washington, D.C., passport office before July 4. These passports will feature customized artwork and enhanced imagery while maintaining standard security features. While they will be the default document for in-person applicants in Washington, individuals can still obtain a standard passport by applying online or outside the capital. State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott confirmed these details, noting that current U.S. passports already incorporate quotations from historical figures. Separately, the Treasury Department announced that President Trump's signature will soon be featured on U.S. dollar bills.
