Actor Jisshu Sengupta, born in 1977 to a theater actor, has discussed his professional journey and personal experiences. Despite growing up in a humble background and facing financial challenges, Sengupta stated he “never felt” he struggled, describing his early life as “beautiful.”
Sengupta made his debut in a show in 1998, a career path he initially did not aspire to pursue, even recalling a “terrible” audition that ultimately secured him the role. His financial situation reportedly improved following his role in the series Mahaprabhu. A significant turning point in his career occurred in 2008 when he met director Rituporno Ghosh, which led to critically acclaimed films and enhanced his standing as an actor. He has since appeared in prominent Bollywood productions such as Barfi, Piku, and Shakuntala Devi.
Reflecting on his life’s trajectory, Sengupta expressed a philosophical perspective, asserting that he would have “no regrets” if he died tomorrow.
