The Bombay High Court on Wednesday declined to grant interim relief to actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra, who had sought the temporary suspension of a Look Out Circular (LOC) issued against them. The couple had filed an application requesting permission for international travel, specifically mentioning a family trip to Phuket in the first week of October.
While refusing relief for the initial October travel, the court requested the state’s response to Kundra’s plea by October 8. The couple’s application also detailed future travel plans, including a work trip to Los Angeles later in October and a business expansion venture for their hospitality business, Hotel Bastian, in Maldives and Colombo. The LOC is reportedly connected to an First Information Report (FIR) based on a complaint alleging their involvement in a 2015 meeting where they purportedly sought a loan for Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, a now-defunct home shopping and online retail platform.
