Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport Terminal 2 is scheduled to reopen on October 26. This reopening aims to accommodate increasing passenger volumes. Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) states the upgraded terminal incorporates enhanced features for passenger processing.
Among the new facilities are a Self Baggage Drop (SBD) system, designed to reduce wait times for baggage check-in. Additionally, the terminal will feature new passenger boarding bridges (PBBs) equipped with autonomous docking technology, marking its first implementation within the country.
For public transport access, the nearest metro station to Terminal 2 is the Airport metro station, situated at Terminal 3. This station is part of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) Airport Express Line, also known as the Orange Line.
