The Federation of Associations of Telangana Higher Education Institutions (FATHI) has announced a series of upcoming actions, including a "Maha Students' Rally" scheduled for November 11 in Hyderabad. The rally is expected to involve approximately ten lakh students marching towards the Telangana Secretariat.
FATHI's primary demand is the resolution of issues affecting higher education in the state, specifically calling for the immediate release of ₹5,000 crore from the total ₹10,000 crore in pending fee reimbursement dues. The organization asserts that this delay has significantly impacted private higher education institutions across Telangana.
Additionally, FATHI has planned a "Telangana Teachers' Reconciliation Meet" (Telangana Adhyapaka Savantana Sabha) for November 8 at LB Stadium, anticipating participation from around one lakh teaching and non-teaching staff. The federation has also urged the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) to indefinitely postpone Pharmacy regular and supplementary examinations scheduled for November 9, stating that no pharmacy colleges in the state will operate on that day.
