The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is scheduled to initiate the online choice-filling process for its 2025 undergraduate (UG) counselling. The commencement date is set for October 6, with an alternative start date of October 7 if required. This process will formally mark the beginning of admissions for undergraduate agriculture and allied courses offered across ICAR-affiliated universities. The start of counselling, originally anticipated by mid-September, experienced delays attributed to challenges in integrating a payment gateway with the State Bank of India (SBI). This situation arose after a previous banking partner withdrew. ICAR has also announced an increase in counselling rounds from the earlier three or four to five, and a revised seat matrix was recently notified. The overall counselling timeline has been delayed by more than a month.
