RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat stated that in India, dharma and rashtra are intrinsically linked and asserted that the nation’s extensive knowledge tradition can offer solutions to global challenges.
Bhagwat highlighted the world’s struggles with the balance between development and environmental protection, individual freedom and family life, and religious faith and conflict. He suggested that these dilemmas cannot be resolved by prioritizing one aspect over another.
He further elaborated that India has a historical legacy of sharing knowledge without resorting to conquest or conversion, implying that the world looks to India for guidance. Bhagwat emphasized that India’s rich knowledge, encompassing various scriptures and teachings, is needed today.
According to Bhagwat, preserving the traditions of those who uphold this knowledge is a service to humanity. He also noted that the Indian concept of rashtra is inseparable from dharma, with the nation’s purpose being dharma and dharma sustaining the nation.
