A collaborative law enforcement operation, spearheaded by the Pune police and supported by the Madhya Pradesh police, has addressed an illegal arms manufacturing and trafficking network. The action took place in Umarti village, Madhya Pradesh, approximately 500 km from Pune. The operation was initiated after 21 pistols were seized in Pune over the preceding three weeks, with investigations tracing their supply origins to Madhya Pradesh. During the raids, 36 individuals were detained, and a significant quantity of weapons was confiscated. Furthermore, 50 furnaces identified as illegal weapon manufacturing units were dismantled.
