The Maharashtra Government’s revenue department has introduced new measures aimed at expediting the resolution of land disputes. A recent notification confirmed the appointment of licensed private surveyors to address measurement cases, with a mandated 30-day timeframe for resolution. Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule indicated that this streamlined approach covers various land-related processes, including land partitioning, boundary demarcation, non-agricultural conversion, gunthewari regularization, joint land acquisition surveys, forest rights claim measurements, city and village site surveys, and other measurements pertinent to securing property rights.
