Manchester United has announced record financial revenue totaling £666.5 million for the year ending 30 June 2025. This financial performance occurred despite the men’s team finishing 15th in the Premier League the previous season, marking its lowest league position since the 1973-74 campaign.
The club’s revenue growth was driven by a record commercial revenue of £333.3 million, which benefited from the commencement of a five-year front-of-shirt sponsorship agreement with Snapdragon. Matchday revenue also reached a record £160.3 million. Chief executive Omar Berrada commented that the record revenues achieved during a “challenging year” reflect the club’s resilience, stating a commitment to long-term improvements across all club operations.
Manchester United reported an overall loss of £33 million, a 70.8% reduction from the £113.2 million loss recorded in the preceding year. The club affirmed its adherence to both the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules and UEFA’s Financial Fair Play Regulations. According to Deloitte, based on the previous year’s earnings of £651 million, Manchester United ranked as the fourth highest revenue-generating club in global football, following Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Paris St-Germain.
