The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced admissions for its Diploma in Guidance & Counselling course. This program utilizes a blended learning approach, integrating both distance education and face-to-face contact sessions. Interested candidates are required to submit online applications via ncert.nic.in, with a deadline of November 5.
Eligibility for the diploma includes teachers, teacher educators, school administrators, untrained guidance personnel from India, and postgraduates in fields such as psychology, education, social work, child development, or special education. A fee of Rs 19,500 is applicable for candidates who are government-deputed from central government-funded organizations, with board and lodging costs during the contact program borne by the candidates.
Admissions will be offered at DEPFE, NCERT, New Delhi, and regional institutes of education located in Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru, and Shillong. Each center has a maximum intake capacity of 50 candidates. The selection process involves initial screening by a committee based on established criteria, followed by an essay writing test and an interview for shortlisted applicants.
