An all-party meeting convened with 50 leaders representing 36 political parties. During the gathering, Opposition parties reportedly presented a united demand for discussions on an issue referred to as SIR, alongside concerns regarding the security of democracy, specifically addressing voter lists and election security. While the government listened to these points, sources indicate no commitment was made regarding a discussion on the SIR matter.
The government's parliamentary agenda for the upcoming session was also outlined, featuring 13 Bills for passage. These include, among others, the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2025, and the Higher Education Commission of India Bill, 2025. Following the meeting, Opposition parties are expected to hold further discussions to finalize their parliamentary strategy.
