In Sindagi town, Vijayapura district, Anasuya, 50, was reportedly attacked by her husband, Yamanappa, on Friday. The incident, which involved a machete, resulted in injuries to her head, neck, and hands. Locals attempting to assist the victim were allegedly threatened by the assailant. A passerby intervened, preventing Yamanappa from fleeing the scene following the attack. Anasuya has been admitted to a hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case, and the motive behind the assault remains under investigation.
