Salim Dola, an alleged associate of Dawood Ibrahim’s D-Company and a figure in narcotics investigations, has been arrested in Istanbul under an Interpol Red Notice and subsequently deported to India. Indian narcotics investigators view this as a notable development in ongoing efforts against D-Company-linked operations. Dola is believed to have allegedly directed a multi-state narcotics network in Maharashtra and Gujarat from abroad, including the UAE and Turkey, for nearly a decade. His alleged involvement in the narcotics trade, including links to mephedrone seizures, came into sharper focus during a 2024 Mumbai Police Crime Branch investigation. Dola now faces charges in India related to these alleged activities.
