Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is scheduled to inaugurate the Veerabhoomi museum in Nandagad, Belagavi district, on January 19. This museum is dedicated to chronicling the life and contributions of Sangolli Rayanna and his associates, highlighting their historical resistance against British rule, which notably predated the 1857 rebellion by several decades.
In preparation for the event, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has directed local officials, including Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan and Sangolli Development Authority Commissioner R. Revanna, to oversee the improvement of roads leading to Nandagad village and the museum. The facility itself is equipped with various amenities such as a multi-dimensional cinema hall, murals, statues, a park, a snack bar, and advanced colored lighting systems.
To enhance accessibility, the museum plans to offer concessional admission rates specifically for school and college students.
