Heavy rainfall, attributed to Tropical Storm Priscilla and Tropical Storm Raymond, has triggered widespread flooding and landslides across central and southeastern Mexico. As of Saturday, authorities reported at least 41 fatalities and 27 individuals missing across the affected regions. The severe weather caused significant infrastructure damage, impacting over 16,000 homes in the state of Puebla and an additional 16,000 in the Gulf Coast state, which includes the oil town of Poza Rica. Power outages affected 150 communities in the state of Hidalgo and more than 320,000 users nationally. Thousands of soldiers have been deployed to clear blocked roads and conduct rescue operations in the affected areas.
