Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol Denies Allegations in Pune Property Transaction

Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol has refuted allegations regarding his involvement in the sale of a property belonging to a Jain trust in Pune. Mohol stated he was "in no way involved" with the property's purchase, asserting that Gokhale builders carried out all transactions and that he was not associated with the builder when the sale was finalized.

The minister acknowledged his past association with Gokhale builders through two limited liability partnership (LLP) firms, from which he withdrew in 2024, emphasizing his commitment to transparency. The allegations were made by farmer leader Raju Shetti and Shiv Sena leader Ravindra Dhangekar, with Mohol dismissing Dhangekar's claims. The Jain community in Pune has strongly protested the sale transaction.

Akshay Jain, who first approached the deputy charity commissioner on May 14, 2025, to cancel the sale proposal, noted that the trust sold the property to Gokhale builders on October 8, 2025. Jain highlighted that this sale deed occurred a day before the Bombay High Court was scheduled to hear a matter opposing the property's sale. The property is described as having a capacity for 235 students.
