Union minister Amit Shah has stated that Rahul Gandhi’s aspirations to become Prime Minister are unrealistic and can only be achieved in a ‘mock parliament’. Shah made these remarks while addressing an event in Chandigarh.
Shah’s comments were a response to the INDIA bloc’s rally, which the BJP has described as a failure. He suggested that Sonia Gandhi’s actions were driven by her unfulfilled dream of seeing her son in the top political office.
The BJP has been critical of the opposition’s campaign against the Election Commission and the government’s electoral roll revision process. BJP leaders have accused Rahul Gandhi of attempting to undermine constitutional bodies and sow anarchy.
Furthermore, the BJP has criticized the opposition for holding their rally on the anniversary of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, calling it an insensitive act that disrespects the victims of the tragedy.
