On Sunday morning, Delhi's air quality was predominantly categorised as 'very poor', with the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) reported at 391 by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to data from the CPCB’s Sameer app, 22 monitoring stations recorded air quality in the 'severe' range, while an additional 12 stations registered 'very poor' levels, with readings above 300. The NSIT Dwarka monitoring station reported the lowest AQI at 198, falling into the 'moderate' category, and was the only location in Delhi to register an AQI below 200. Other areas with relatively better, though still 'poor', readings included IHBAS, Dilshad Garden (263) and Lodhi Road (307).

Localities such as Punjabi Bagh, Ashok Vihar, and Sonia Vihar were among those recording AQI values exceeding 400. Furthermore, CPCB data indicated that Noida and Ghaziabad experienced their poorest October air quality in the last five years.
