A 28-year-old woman, Saraswathi, was fatally stabbed on Thursday in the Suryaraopet area of NTR Commissionerate.
Her husband, Vijay, has reportedly been taken into custody by Suryaraopet police in connection with the incident. Authorities indicate that the couple, who had been married for three years, were living separately due to domestic disputes and had a pending divorce application in court.
Reports suggest that Vijay encountered Saraswathi, a nurse at a private hospital, at her workplace before the alleged attack. The victim's body has been moved to the Government General Hospital mortuary, and an investigation into the circumstances of her death is currently underway.
