Cloudflare, which provides internet security services to an estimated 20% of global websites, confirmed it was observing service recovery but cautioned that elevated error rates might persist as remediation efforts continued.
While OpenAI stated it was investigating reported problems with its chatbot, ChatGPT, it did not explicitly link these to the Cloudflare incident. Notably, the outage monitoring site Downdetector also displayed an error message during this period. This incident follows recent service disruptions experienced by other major web service providers, including Amazon Web Services last month and Microsoft Azure shortly thereafter.
