The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL) has announced the installation of the tenth steel bridge for the 508-kilometer Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) project. This infrastructure development is progressing with technical and financial assistance from the Government of Japan.
The recently launched bridge, measuring 60 meters in length, is situated in Ahmedabad and was positioned over a Western Railway facility. This installation represents the first steel bridge erected within the Ahmedabad district section of the corridor. The bridge, weighing 485 metric tons and measuring 12 meters in height and 11.4 meters in width, was fabricated in Wardha, Maharashtra, transported via specially designed trailers, and its placement was completed within seven hours following extensive preparation.
