Priyansh Arya, a left-handed batter, has received his maiden call-up to Delhi’s 24-man Ranji Trophy squad for the 2025-26 season. The team, captained by Ayush Badoni with Yash Dhull as vice-captain, is scheduled to begin its campaign on October 15 with an away fixture against Hyderabad.
Arya’s selection follows his performance in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), where he scored 475 runs as an opening batter for Punjab Kings (PBKS). During that season, PBKS reached the IPL final after an 11-year period, ultimately losing to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). His IPL run total for the season was the highest achieved by an uncapped Indian player in their debut season of the tournament.
