The Uttar Pradesh Police’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested three young men and detained a juvenile in Lucknow. They are accused of plotting to kill a member of the Army or police, or to attack a police establishment.
The alleged plan included recording a video of the incident. Authorities claim the youths were acting on instructions from a handler based in Pakistan.
This handler is reportedly linked to the banned Shahzad Bhatti network. The agency stated that the handler’s goal was to create fear among the public.
The arrested individuals have been identified as residents of Punjab. The juvenile detainee is 17 years old.
