During an inspection, Mr. Cholan issued directives for several infrastructure enhancements. These include the removal of footpath encroachments to create pedestrian-friendly walkways, the elimination of accident-prone areas, the clearing of unauthorized overhead cables, and the planting of saplings to enhance greenery. Officials were also instructed to educate traders on scientific waste management and to ensure vendors operate within designated zones, with penalties for non-compliance. Furthermore, measures were ordered to keep pedestrian pathways clear of parked vehicles.
The Commissioner also highlighted the completion of a multi-level car parking facility in Gandhi Bazaar, developed under the Smart City project. This facility is equipped with modern amenities, offers space for 124 vehicles, and includes 50 commercial shops, with preparations for its inauguration commencing shortly. Additionally, officials were directed to prepare a comprehensive feasibility report for transforming Sunkenahalli Ward into a model ward.
