A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker sustained serious injuries following a clash between two party factions in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district, according to a senior police officer. The incident occurred late Friday night near Mamata Medical Hall, close to the Titagarh police station.

The clash reportedly followed a Bijoya Sammilani event organized by the local BJP mandal. One faction alleged that its members were attacked by another group after the program concluded, leading to the confrontation and subsequent tension in the area.

Police intervened by rushing to the scene and dispersing the groups, thereby restoring normalcy. The injured worker, identified as Karan Sheth, was initially treated at B.N. Bose Hospital before being transferred to Sagar Dutta Hospital due to a worsening condition, as stated by BJP sources.
