India's Gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue for October 2025 amounted to Rs 1,95,936 crores, marking a 4.6 percent increase compared to the Rs 1,87,346 crores collected in the same month of the previous year. This performance follows a GST rationalization initiative implemented in September, which streamlined tax slabs from four to two core rates (5 percent and 18 percent).
Among large states, Karnataka and Telangana registered the highest growth in GST collections, both increasing by 10 percent relative to October last year. Karnataka's revenue reached Rs 14,395 crore, up from Rs 13,081 crore, while Telangana's collections rose to Rs 5,726 crore from Rs 5,211 crore. Other states also reported positive growth rates: Gujarat experienced a 6 percent increase, Tamil Nadu 4 percent, and Maharashtra 3 percent. Additionally, Odisha reported 5 percent growth, Bihar 3 percent, and Uttar Pradesh 2 percent in their respective GST revenues.
