Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, concluded a three-day visit to Israel, where he engaged in high-level meetings aimed at advancing bilateral economic and strategic cooperation. During his visit, Minister Goyal met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, conveying greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and providing updates on discussions with Economy Minister Nir Barkat, alongside the outcomes of both the Business Forum and the CEOs Forum.
Discussions during the visit specifically addressed deepening engagement across critical sectors such as agriculture, water, defence, science, technology, and innovation. Minister Goyal sought Prime Minister Netanyahu's guidance on further developing these partnerships. Additionally, Minister Dichter briefed Goyal on Israel’s 25-year food security roadmap, its advanced seed-improvement strategies, and the country’s leadership in water-reuse technologies for farming, highlighting potential areas for collaboration.
