Kerala Education Minister Sivankutty has stated he will not be held responsible if the Union government withholds funds for various state education schemes. This declaration followed a recent meeting with the Union Education Minister, during which Sivankutty communicated a state cabinet decision regarding the funding. He also responded to remarks by CPI State secretary Binoy Viswam, asserting that the interaction with the Union government about pausing a scheme was not a matter of political "win or loss."
The Minister further affirmed Kerala's commitment to preventing the implementation of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's (RSS) agenda in the education sector, noting that such an agenda has not been allowed in the state over the past four and a half years. He concluded by criticizing the portrayal that "some people alone" were responsible for resisting the RSS's "communal agenda" and for safeguarding the Left establishment.
