A two-day national seminar on ‘War and Peace in Modern Arabic Literature’ commenced on September 15 at Madeenathul Uloom Arabic College in Pulikkal. The event, organized in collaboration with the Kerala State Higher Education Council, Calicut University Department of Arabic, and Amal College of Advanced Studies Department of Arabic, focused on the capacity of Arabic language and literature to foster healthy dialogues amid global conflicts.
Musheer Husain Siddiqui, an educationalist and former head of the Department of Arabic and Arab Culture at Lucknow University, inaugurated the seminar. The proceedings were presided over by Basheer M., Principal of Madeenathul Uloom Arabic College. Abdul Haseeb Madani, Principal of Assabah Arabic College, delivered the keynote address. Noteworthy contributions included researcher Yusuf Sahib Nadvi’s translation of Innocent’s biographical memoir into Arabic. The seminar also featured addresses from various principals, department heads, and assistant professors representing different academic institutions.
