Reports indicate that Israeli military forces conducted airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, targeting areas in both Rafah in the south and Jabalia in the north. These operations reportedly resulted in the deaths of two Palestinians in Jabalia. The strikes occurred despite a recently established, US-brokered ceasefire, which Israeli authorities stated was initiated in response to a "blatant violation" of the agreement. Clashes between Israeli forces and Hamas were also reported. Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had announced that Israel's campaign in Gaza was "reaching its conclusion" and intended to name it "The War of Revival," remarks made prior to the Sunday morning strikes on Rafah. Subsequently, Mr. Netanyahu reportedly departed a meeting abruptly following news of attacks across Gaza. Concurrently, Israeli cabinet minister Itamar Ben-Gvir urged Mr. Netanyahu to resume attacks in Gaza using "maximum force."
