During Telangana Praja Palana Dinotsavam ceremonies, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka outlined the state government’s ambitions in green energy and development initiatives. In Khammam, he stated the government aims to generate 20,000 MW of green energy and create 1.14 lakh jobs by 2030, supported by an investment of ₹1.98 lakh crore. The Indira Solar Girijana Vikasam Scheme is installing solar pump sets for approximately 550 tribal farmers in Khammam district as part of these efforts.
Furthermore, Vikramarka detailed ongoing infrastructure projects, including the construction of a ₹130-crore government medical college building and a 50-bed critical care block at the district headquarters hospital in Khammam. He also highlighted a policy decision to implement 42% reservations for Backward Classes in forthcoming local body elections. Concurrently, Social Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar participated in similar state celebrations held in Karimnagar.
