Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the Karnataka government, demanding the disclosure of comprehensive details regarding relief measures for flood-affected districts in Kalyana Karnataka.
Addressing a press conference, Gowda announced his intention to personally visit the impacted areas within the next three to four days to prepare a report for submission to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, indicating a potential meeting with the Prime Minister if necessary.
He stressed the urgency of relief implementation and cautioned against politicizing the calamity. Gowda also commented on the state's financial condition, attributing its perceived weakening to the implementation of five guarantees, which he suggested could impede its ability to effectively manage the severe flood situation.
